Lessons are for one week. The same 45 minutes every day for a week.
If your child can swim across the pool multiple times without touching the pool floor or stopping to hold the wall, they are ready for this class. Katie will work on your swimmer to improve their stroke form and teach more advanced strokes and skills. If you have doubt about whether your child is ready for this class, please sign them up for the beginner class.
In this class for your youngest swimmers, Katie's goal is to teach your child to swim independently at least 10 feet. The purpose of this class is to teach your child to swim safely and how to get to the side of the pool when necessary. Children will be required to put their faces in the water.
Katie got my 5 year old out of his puddle jumper and swimming across the pool unassisted after 5 days of lessons! This was after 3 years of lessons at the YMCA. No comparison!
